I find using supertags more flexible for handling my communication logging, but it is somewhat unwieldy as the text fields in super tags are all one long line. Is there a way to add a line feed or create a larger text box field as a supertag field? For example, I now have this:

Supertag field: “5/9 Discussed budgets 5/6 will follow up on 5/9 with budget 5/4 Delivered proposal”

I’d like it to look like this:

5/9 Discussed budgets
5/6 Will follow up on 5/9 with budget
5/4 Delivered proposal

Is that possible?

I’m glad you’re getting the hang of Communications. We’re actually designing some changes to communications, so any feedback you can provide is greatly appreciated.

As for SuperTags, we have an option to choose “short text” (one line) or “long text” (a multi-line text area) in the works.

btw, jakedfw… we just launched an update to SuperTags that allow you to choose short or long text fields to include in your SuperTags. I realize you found an alternate solution, but this is there, too!

The current extended field strips single newline in a text, adding
seems to work.
Is this how it should be?

Oh, and could the edit box when editing the content of the available supertag be as big as when you first apply the tag?

Looking into that… been bugging me too. Also, thanks for letting me know about the one spot we still had the skinny SuperTag text box. That’ll be in the next code push.

Perhaps using some kind of wiki markup? So e can use * as a way to make lists as well in stead of LI

Adam, on the contact page, while editing/adding supertag data into a long textfield

Hmmm… when I add a SuperTag with a long text field either in the header or when I edit in the SuperTag data box, it shows as a 3-line deep, wide text field. Were you looking for bigger or am I missing something? Thanks!

Adam, try adding some text there with linebreaks:
Some line with a text
- perhaps make a note like this
- and a line like this
